Waterbirth or water labor?

The Waterbirth Tub Is OPEN!!!

Waterbirth FamilyThe waterbirth tub at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital is ‘open for business’. Janell, Patty and Donna are thrilled beyond description to quit  blowing up the tub, filling the jacuzzi with water, constructing the sump pump and hose apparatus and, then, sumping the water into the inflatable tub.

Now when you come into FBC in labor, we turn on the water and set the plug in the tub… and you get in. WOW!!! Kathleen is sad that she won’t be delivering the first waterbirth baby… after all of these years of advocating and kneeling next to tubs…call for waterbirth info or to make an appointment  360-885-7926

Induction For Convenience?

More and more births are being scheduled ‘a little early’ for non-medical reasons. Experts are learning that this can cause problems for both mom and baby. If possible, it’s best to stay pregnant at least 39 weeks.

There are lots of important things happening to your baby’s brain and lungs in the last few weeks of pregnancy… they are still growing.

Remember, this is not your birth… it’s your baby’s birth!
